English painting steps
- Shoreline: Prepare your tools. Outline the boundary between waves and beach with #25 using a large brush.
- Beach mixture: Mix #25 and #27 (1:1), then add quartz sand (paint:sand 1:1).
- Beach texture: Use the back of a palette knife to spread downward from the shoreline. Tap the beach with the knife's back for rough texture.
- Sea: Mix #21 with quartz sand (1:1). Spread the sea with the back of a palette knife. Leave natural scrape marks rather than smoothing it flat.
- White waves: Mix #2 with quartz sand (1:1). Use the back of a palette knife to form three layers of white waves.
- Shells and pearls: Once the paint dries, glue shells and pearls in suitable positions.
- Color harmony: Lightly sweep #21 and #27 separately over the beach and shells with a large brush to bring their colors together.
- Ocean Shells: Your blue ocean painting is complete.
