English painting steps
- Clean brushes: Wash brushes thoroughly and dry them with paper towels before each color change.
- Distant water: Prepare the kit, rinsing water and paper towels. Place #1, #2, #3 and #4 from left to right on the upper half. With a clean large brush, paint horizontally left to right, blending naturally.
- Near water: Place #1, #4 and #5 from left to right on the lower half. Paint horizontally, freely interweaving and mixing the colors.
- Position lily pads and flowers: Remove the lily-pad shapes from the stencil and align it with the board. Outline the openings with #6 using a small brush to guide placement. Glue the relief pads and flowers into position.
- Distant lily pads: Mix #6 with quartz sand (1:1). Paint the distant pads at the marked positions using a large brush.
- Relief lily pads: Base-coat the relief pads with #6. Use #7 for darker parts and #6 + #2 (1:1) for lighter parts.
- Flowers: With a small brush, use #1 for the relief flower base, #9 for dark parts and #2 for the stamens. Mix #9 with quartz sand (1:1) for the distant flowers.
- Water texture and shadows: Mix #4 and #5 separately with quartz sand (1:1) to strengthen lower-water texture. Use #8 beneath the near raised pads. Thin #5 with a little water and blend beneath the upper-left pads.
- Leaf shadows: Mix #6 and #7 (1:1). With a small brush, deepen the lily pads beneath the flowers.
- Water droplets: Glue the imitation water droplets in position to enrich the picture.
