English painting steps
- First background half: Prepare the kit, clean rinsing water and paper towels. Mix #1 with quartz sand (1:1). Spread from the lower left toward the upper right to cover a little over half the board. Let dry.
- Background gradient: Clean the palette knife. Mix #2 with quartz sand (1:1). Spread from the upper right toward the lower left. Tap #5 onto the join with a sponge for a natural gradient.
- Align the stencil: Take out the stencil and align it with the picture.
- First leaf layer: Once dry, remove the four leaf shapes from the stencil and align it with the board. Fill leaf A with #5 using a large brush.
- Leaf C: Fill leaf C with #4.
- Leaf B: Mix #3 and #7 (4:1) for leaf B. Fill leaf C with #4.
- Leaf D: Fill leaf D with #8.
- Leaf veins: Paint veins on leaves A, B and D with #7 using a small brush.
- Middle leaf layer: Once dry, separate the four stencil leaves along the dotted lines. Place leaf C in the middle, offset from the first layer. Fill it with #9 and paint veins with #7 + #10 (1:1).
- Upper and lower leaves: Place leaf B above the middle, offset from the base leaves. Fill with #8 and add #7 veins. Place leaf C below the middle at an angle, fill with #6 and add #10 veins.
- Right leaf: Place leaf D at the lower-middle right and adjust its angle. Fill it with #1 and add #4 veins.
- Attach relief leaves: Once dry, glue the relief maple leaves in position. Fit the lower-left leaf onto the rotating bearing; glue its wider base firmly to the canvas. Let the glue dry.
- Your own palette: With a large brush and #3, #8 and #10, treat the maple leaves as a palette. Mix freely and create colors of your own.
