English painting steps
- Stencil outlines: Prepare your tools. Remove the beach and distant mountain shapes from the stencil and align it with the board. Outline them with #37 using a small brush.
- Beach: Mix #1 with quartz sand (1:1). Spread the beach from the lower left with the back of a palette knife.
- Sea: Mix #37 with quartz sand (1:1). Spread the sea from right to left, adding #38 near the beach for a natural transition. Leave a little white at the shoreline if desired. Let dry before continuing.
- Waves: Mix #2 with quartz sand (1:1). Starting at the shoreline, press and drag back with the palette knife to form naturally textured waves.
- Sky and mountains: Mix #38 with quartz sand (1:1) and spread the sky with a palette knife. Mix #6 with quartz sand (1:1) for the mountains. Let dry before continuing.
- Sun and near beach: Remove the sun shape from the stencil and align it with the board. Fill the circle with #22 + quartz sand (1:1) using a palette knife. Lightly sweep a little #6 over the near beach with a large brush.
