English painting steps
- Set the mood: Slow down, add fragrance and play music you enjoy. Let yourself settle into painting.
- Optional fragrance: Lightly drip plant essential oil onto the blank back of the board for a soothing scent while creating.
- Sea gradient: Prepare your tools. With a large brush, start with #24 at the bottom. Gradually add #21 upward for a dark-to-light sea gradient.
- Waves: Use a small brush with #2 and #21 for undulating waves in the upper-middle sea.
- Frame and sea creatures: Mix #21 and #24 (1:1) for the lower frame. Increase the proportion of #21 toward the top. Base-coat coral, starfish and small shells with #21.
- Coral and creature details: Sweep a little #24 over shadows at the bottom of coral, starfish and small shells. Sweep #33 onto the upper coral to add color layers.
- Large shell: Base-coat the shell interior with #2, sweeping #33 near the pearl. Paint the back of the shell with #11.
- Submarine and finishing details: Base-coat the submarine with #11 and #21 separately. Mix #21 and #24 for darker areas. Paint small fish and water droplets with #33 and #2 separately. Sweep FP glitter over the coral.
